The OVA is where I got hooked. Consisting of 4 episodes, it tells us of Kenshin’s background during the Bakumatsu. The OVA is a more serious tone compared to the TV version but rightly so as it was a time of survival. Here is where I also got introduced to my favorite group of Samurai called the Shinsengumi. Tsuiokohen is one of the highest (if not the highest) rated anime of all time.
