Yagi Yuunosuke (b 1856) – Nickname – Yuubo. Hide’s younger brother. Currently works at a boys school in Kyoto. Good with languages. Visited Hide in Ito right as the Tanaka stuff went down. Fell for Saya at the time and still carries a torch for her.
Yagi Tamesaburo (b 1854) Nickname – Tamebo. The older of Hide’s brothers. A lawyer. Keeper of Shinsengumi archives. Has not seen Hide since she left for Ito before Makoto was born and has not met Makoto. Hired a amnesiac Saitou to track down Hide. Oversees Hide’s inheritance and disburses funds to her monthly.
Yagi Hanako – (b 1856) Wife to Tamesaboro, mother of Kioko, Hiroshi, Sachiko, and Yuto. Youngest of seven sisters. Has not seen Hide since she left for Ito before Makoto was born and has not met Makoto. Yuto was born during the Ito years so Hide has not met him. One of the children who played with Okita, but the focus of her attentions was Hijikata (lol).
Yagi Gennojou (d.1868)
Yagi Masa – (d. 1873)
Hisa – (d. 1863) Masa’s mother and grandmother to the Yagi children. Husband, Mantaro, is long-dead and somehow resembled Harada Sanosuke. Stubborn, great cook. (Note – NHK, or at least the translation, put her as both Gennojou’s mother or Masa’s mother depending on the moment. I went with her as Masa’s early on.)
