Eiji:
I look at the time. Most of the patients have left already and I’m getting antsy. Maybe something happened? I go inside the clinic where that tall woman is. I can’t speak any English and she doesn’t seem to speak much Japanese.

“Yagi Hide.” I make a shape with my hands then put it way down. I hope she gets i’m lookin for a short woman.
“Oh… yes yes”. She points to the back! I run to it and realize it’s another exit leading to the back of the University. The color drains from my face.
Yagi-san… It’s the same thing all over again isn’t it? She’s running away just like Tokio-san. But unlike before where all I could do was wait for Otou-san. I -can- help and in fact he asked me to. So I find a rickshaw and instruct it to go straight to the TMPD.
(OOC: To be continued…)
Eiji:
“Otou!” I burst through the door. And two set of eyes stare at me. One a short man with a moustache and the other the man I now call my father. “Otou! There’s trouble! Yagi-san! YOU GOT TO COME QUICK!”
The short man doesn’t move. I’d like him to leave but he just stares at me.
“Slow down Eiji.” He turns to the short statured man, “Kawaji-san this is Eiji, my son.”
Really he’s making introductions?
“Well go on. Tell your father what’s happened young man.”
“She slipped from my watch Tou-san! We were at the clinic and she ducked out!”
At once I see father’s face contort and his brows furrow and I hear him mutter a curse.
“Kawaji-san. I have to take care of this.” He tells the other man grimly.
“Was I expecting anything else Fujita?” Kawaji crosses his arms and sighs loudly. “Get on with it then.”
“I might need…” He stops and bows.
“Understood. Tell them Keishichou’s orders.” And I’m surprised this man is one of the most powerful officials in the police… but he’s gone.
“What are we going to do?” I turn back to father.
“First I need you to go home. I’ll get you a police carriage downstairs.” He lights a cigarette. “Get Yukiko and Ai. Then go to the school, find Takimi and take Makoto and Tomu back to here.”
He gives me the keys to his office.
“I’ll have this room guarded. It’s better if all of you are in headquarters while I look for Hide. Even he won’t attempt to just rush into hundreds of trained policemen.”
“Alright father but what do you think happened?”
He suddenly smirks, “Well she’s already turned rogue. Maybe she’s running off with him.”
I stare at father. That’s his exact words even back then, when he found out about Tokio-san and Hiko.
Then he turns to me and pats my shoulder, “Don’t worry. However it works out is probably how it’s meant to be. Just keep the children calm.”
“Yes sir.”
“Let’s go.”
(Ooc: Eiji will get the children and they’ll be locked in Saitou’s office with guards. Whatever happens in the tmpd for that day will be in this thread. Saitou will eventually land on the dojo thread later.)
EIJI:
“Why are we here Eiji-niisan?”
“Father said so. Now be good and just sit on the sofa and read or study.”
He frowns and goes to the window and looks out. It’s been raining heavily and i wish the sun would come out. It would certainly help with the mood in this now cramped room.
Tomu moves away from the window and the baby is crying and Makoto shivers.
“Here.” He gives Makoto some candy. Then turns to yukiko, “can babies suck on this? They’re soft.”
I look down and it’s yams? Ah just like then he always kept plenty. But after yukiko takes the yam from him and gives it in very small quantities to Ai… I notice Tomu’s head nodding off.
Good. He’s going to sleep
Eiji:
It was almost sunset when someone came to get us. The police officer said the driver will take us to Kenshin-san’s house to pick up Yagi-san. I’m surprised and Yukiko is wanting to know what’s happen but I just shake my head at her and smile for the children’s sake.
“Well you know there’s been a lot of rain and Yagi-san wanted to visit Kenji’s mother and I’m sure Otou-san was worried about all of us…” I look towards the window, “And all that rain.”
Yukiko knows of course of the threat of Okita. Why I’m having to follow Yagi-san around but I’d rather not say anything in front of the children. Tomu finally wakes up, still jittery and he has that look again of bad dreams. But if this officer is telling us to get to the Kamiya dojo, then whatever threat there was, has been subdued. I sat here for hours wishing I could leave and follow Otou-san, wondering if the strongest man I know would finally succumb to a better sword or worst his old demons or both. I was resolved to do what I had to fulfill my promise for the happiness of this family.
(OOC: assume that the carriage picks up Hide. you can finish the other thread if you like to close it.)
