Roll back over.

Tsutomu:
“Hey sleepy head.” I grin and hold my palm over Makoto’s eyes. “If you keep sleeping the sun won’t come out.”
I grin, “And you have -duties- today like cleaning and making me a map.”
Of course I already brought a pen and paper.
“If you keep sleeping the sun won’t come out
I sit STRAIGHT up and almost run into niisan’s hand! “No that’s not true!”
And you have -duties- today like cleaning and making me a map.
I look over at him. “Why do you need a map?” I look at him. I’m good at maps! Too bad I’ve not been to a lot of places.
Tsutomu:
I laugh as she sits up and tries to push my hand away. “Well wouldn’t it be nice if it was true? You can sleep in all you want and the sun would be shining when you’re ready.”
Why do you need a map?
I look at Makoto-chan seriously now. “I need your help.” I whisper, “I need to know where Kenji-kun lives. I want to visit their dojo.”
Of course I could just follow the Himura’s home or maybe Myoujin-san but maybe it’s easier if Makoto makes me a map. Besides following Myoujin-san would mean i’d have to avoid Eiji-nii-san and also come home very late.
I like it when he laughs! And I’m nicer than he is in the mornings! I don’t complain about his breath like he did to me!
I need your help. I need to know where Kenji-kun lives. I want to visit their dojo
“But you’re already good with kendo and -have- a teacher. Lucky boys!” I say, hitting my pillow as I get up.
I think. “Hey! How did you know that I’ve been there?” I whisper. I kept my secret, just like chichiue told me to!
“But you’re already good with kendo and -have- a teacher. Lucky boys!”
She hits the pillow and I hold her wrist but not tightly, “Hey don’t take it out on the pillow. It can’t fight back you know.” I tease.
“I’m not going there to learn Kendo anyway. I’m going there for my haha-ue.”
“Hey! How did you know that I’ve been there?”
I shake my head. “I didn’t. But you showed Kenji where we lived so I thought maybe he told you where he did. And it seems you’ve been there!”
Suddenly I grin. I -see-. She couldn’t have gone there alone and her mother never goes out these days. So that means… Father went there to make them accountable!
I put the pillow and my futon up. Yukiko-san has already done hers. She’s a very tidy person!
I’m going there for my haha-ue
What would Kenji-kun’s family have to do with her? I thought she lived way up in Aizu.
I didn’t. But you showed Kenji where we lived so I thought maybe he told you where he did. And it seems you’ve been there!
My eyes open wide. He knows! “Chichiue said I wasn’t to tell!” I look down. Now he’ll think I can’t keep secrets…
“Chichiue said I wasn’t to tell!”
Her eyes look down as if she’s upset. “Aww Makoto-chan. I won’t tell anyone.” I flick her hair bangs a little, “Especially not -him-.”
“But I do need your help.” I indicate the pen and paper again. “But I won’t force you. I just don’t want to get in trouble tailing Myoujin-san and then get back here late. I want to get there in the day and be right back before anyone notices.”
Aww Makoto-chan. I won’t tell anyone
“Promise?” Well I made a promise too…
and then get back here late. I want to get there in the day and be right back before anyone notices
I nod. “Niisan you shouldn’t be out late, there’s still bad men out there.”
I think as I look at the paper. “Oh! First we walked by the place where you work, with the cow!” I look up at him. “And you -promised- to take me there.”
I work on the map and hand it over. “There you go!”
“Tsutomu-kun! Makoto-chan! Breakfast!” I hear from downstairs.
I feel my tummy … it’s empty. “Let’s go have breakfast, okay? But I have to get dressed first so LEAVE!” I giggle.
(OOC – Makoto drew a good map of the path she takes every day to and from school, but this one -may- take him past the places Makoto and Saitou went and is just as likely to get him lost as she doesn’t know the streets between the river and the dojo and there weren’t many landmarks – she -is- only six!)
(OOC – You may close)
“Promise?”
“I don’t have to promise.” I grin, “You’re my little sister. I don’t want you breaking promises, so I won’t tell -anybody-.”
“Niisan you shouldn’t be out late, there’s still bad men out there.”
I nod seriously. Of course I won’t. I just want to know direct from the horses mouths what really happened.
“And you -promised- to take me there.”
“I did! I’m glad you reminded me but lets wait until Tsuyoshi comes? That way he can come with us.” I’m almost done with my job there, in fact I’m quitting this Wednesday and now have pocket money.
We’re told to have breakfast and Makoto implores for me to leave and I roll my eyes. Tsuyoshi and I always just get dressed. “That’s no big deal!” I tell her and go to my room to put the map on the desk and proceed downstairs.
(OOC: Tsuyoshi will leave the map out on the desk until he needs it. Hide can choose to see it or not. It’s like a choose your own adventure. Heh. She can drop in here to close or Hide’s writer can simply write “close” to close this thread)

After breakfast, with the children outside, I go upstairs to see what Kinosuke-san may have left behind and how much is left in our old room. I don’t have to move Yukiko-san right away, but what’s the use in making her share any longer than she has to? And besides, if we have an open bedroom it would be rude to not offer it to Namuzawa-san…
Firstly, I open the windows to let the room air on this clear day.
I open the cabinet he was using and find… a selection of tabi too large to be Tsutomu-kun’s… some paper scraps full of numbers. A paper map of Tokyo, with some names written on the front cover. What can only be a… fundoshi. Goodness. He’s as bad as my own brothers… or certain members of the Shinsengumi. Is Hajime the only man who -doesn’t- just throw his personal items all about? I place all of it into a box. I’ll let Yukiko-san keep track of it, leaving the paper items on the top before closing it up.
Leaving the room, I see… another map, on the desk? I stop to see if it’s another one of Kinosuke-san’s, but it’s obviously handwritten and it’s my daughters. On it is a rambling map from our home… I can only tell the intended destinations from her labels. “Home” “Akebeko” “Market with Eggs” “River”…
… and the Kamiya dojo (labeled as Kenji-kun’s mom’s dojo, of course).
Is -that- what he was up to?
I leave it where it is. The map doesn’t look correct at all, but if he’s determined that won’t stop him.
