Somewhere more private?

My writer doesn’t like to admit that she likes this kind of music… it’s not angsty little British boys. *laughs* But given a certain, ah, -commemoration- of a passage of time perhaps this is the right time to share this song? From when I first heard it I knew it made me think of you… not because of the um, actual story but the idea behind it… of how someone didn’t appreciate or see what she could have had… and how someone else found something wonderful…
?
He was a boy
She was a girl
Can I make it any more obvious?
He was a punk
She did ballet
What more can I say?
He wanted her
She’d never tell secretly she wanted him as well
But all of her friends
Stuck up their nose
They had a problem with his baggy clothes

He was a skater boy
She said see you later boy
He wasn’t good enough for her
She had a pretty face
But her head was up in space
She needed to come back down to earth
Five years from now
She sits at home
Feeding the baby she’s all alone
She turns on tv
Guess who she sees
Skater boy rockin up MTV
She calls up her friends
They already know
And they’ve all got
Tickets to see his show
She tags along
Stands in the crowd
Looks up at the man that she turned down
He was a skater boy
She said see you later boy
He wasn’t good enough for her
Now he’s a super star
Slamming on his guitar
Does your pretty face see what he’s worth?
He was a skater boy
She said see you later boy
He wasn’t good enough for her
Now he’s a super star
Slamming on his guitar
Does your pretty face see what he’s worth?
Sorry girl but you missed out
Well tough luck that boy’s mine now
We are more than just good friends
This is how the story ends
Too bad that you couldn’t see,
See the man that boy could be
There is more that meets the eye
I see the soul that is inside
He’s just a boy
And I’m just a girl
Can I make it any more obvious
We are in love
Haven’t you heard
How we rock each others world
I’m with the skater boy
I said see you later boy
I’ll be back stage after the show
I’ll be at the studio
Singing the song we wrote
About a girl you used to know
I’m with the skater boy
I said see you later boy
I’ll be back stage after the show
I’ll be at the studio
Singing the song we wrote
About a girl you used to know
*laughs* Now if only someone was talented enough to make videos… *giggles thinking of Hajime in -that- kind of modern dress* But the song is up in that folder if your writer doesn’t have it. *grins*
Safety: Deeper meaning in Avril Lavigne songs? *snickers*
It’s -your- CD, writer. And I’ve had to listen to you sing along with it. *pulls out her old katana from the Hidejiro days, dispatches with the writer in quick fashion, stuffs her in a closet* Ah… that’s better… *looks around to see if she has -company-*

  1. *coughs* Yes -interesting- song…
*snatches katana after Hide got rid of the writer*
I’ll be keeping this and any other sharp objects you may have.
*tosses the sword in a junkpile -somewhere- and holds out his hand expectant*
    Hand them -all- over.

  2. *rummages around* Hidejiro’s wakazashi *hands it over* I don’t know what happened to the other two tanto, the writer hid them -somewhere-. Other than kitchen knives and sewing scissors that’s all I have.
*walks over and takes his hand, looking down* That’s it. *slides both arms around his waist to embrace him, burying her face in his chest, quiet for a moment before looking up* You can take them, but I’ve already decided that I’d rather be alive… with you. *holds him tighter*
