June 10 – Lunchtime

I thought they’d never finish! Following women around is a pain most of the time. They talk to much on the way there and tarry in every little store. I had to keep quite a few paces away though or else Saya would know. I did after all informally trained her a long time ago.
It’s a good thing they headed back to the hill or I’d have a hard time to slid into the house first.
Maa… Whatever.
Opening the shoji door and window I stand by the door smoking with a smirk on my face. Quite pleased with myself of course and a little curious as to what they were talking about earlier. Saya can be quite outspoken and sometimes it can be misconstrued as rudeness. I sigh and realize I’ve been standing here for the longest time. But the octopus comes to view with her days shopping.
“Help me will you Hajime?” She shouts and I roll my eyes before taking her baggage.
“You cooking today?” I ask.
“If you want me to. I can prepare some fish.”
“Prepare it tonight. I told Hide I’d take lunch at her place.”
“Of course.”
“You can come…” I look at her.
“I’d rather not…”
I frown at this, she’s acting like a child. But I have no patience right now so I shrugged and got ready to leave. “Wait for me tonight… I’d rather you stay here for the rest of the day. I left a gun under the futon just in case and a flare so you can signal me. Understood?”
“Of course.” She doesn’t turn. What the hells gotten into her again?
“I’ll come back early. Wait for me ne?”
She nods her head and I move closer and pull on a strand of her hair.
“ITATTATATAIIIIIIIII!!!” Turning around she tries to land a fist towards my face.
“I thought you were dead.” I say with a smirk. “Do try to make the fish edible later.”
“Hajime you ahou!” She grinned… Good.
“I know… Ja matta.”
