*Thinks… I wonder if this space still is -ours-… or if he’s put back in a box inbetween posts.  Otherwise, he’d never forget… ah, Hide, stop it*
My writer only knows of this song because it was in one of her super-hero movies… *shakes head*  I thought of it while you were gone.  I didn’t know when to give it to you, though…. Shindou-san might have somehow ended up with it, like the bento  *grins a little*
Well… take care of yourself.  And eat!  *smiles, leaves a bento of soba, grilled fish and veggies*
*exits*

  1. It’s our space. Where time moves differently and yet the same as theirs.
I spy the bento box and the song and I sit down to eat. Listening to the music I remember an old memory of how we used to love our songs and a few times we danced to them. I awkwardly and her with some abandon. I have missed those days.
Finishing the food. It was good. I think for a long moment about “Our Space”, how much it was a part of us and yet, how to negotiate such things now with the writers, has left Hide and I in a bind. Or it maybe just me?
    I leave her a note:
To the love of my life,
Happy Birthday in our space and soon in our home in Tokyo.
Someone told me you missed our songs. Here’s one for you.

    Everybody Loves Somebody
    Yours,
    Ookami

  2. Hm, I heard that it’s presumed I’m mad at you? No… *sighs* How can I be? Unlike before, I don’t know what -our- space is anymore, if it’s even still here for us. And with that, how can I get mad if you’re not aware of calendars outside of our home now? Or if you don’t know that I’m aware of all the ways time can pass for us.
*shakes head* This sounds confusing, even to me, who’s used to this place. This place is… good to have. We have so much to do -there- but I like being able to remind you that I love you. And unless you’re going to -sing-, there isn’t a lot of ways to share songs otherwise. *grins* But I’m glad we -behaved- in this space while you were gone. *softly* I’m going to dream of you touching my face on the engawa like you did for the rest of my life. One touch made all of those years worth it…
Although I don’t mind this place… *laughs a little* I get to have a birthday but not get older, after all.
Thank you for the song. *smiles* I owe you a kiss for that one.

  3. Looks at her. “What is our space? I don’t know either.” Smokes. “I think it’s still here but not in the same way? I can’t just suddenly pop in and conjure something for you and I or just take you to bed with me.” *coughs* “And I mean, take you to bed to sleep, not the -other-.”
“We can find out together, slowly.” Makes smoke rings. “It’ll sound like an excuse but I didn’t greet you because I thought we were going to celebrate it in our Tokyo.” Groans, “But time now moves slowly there.”
    “I’m sorry?”
Smiles a little thinking of their first meeting on the engawa. To him it seemed the world stopped for a minute and it was just the two of them.
“Don’t worry too much about your age. I think you’ll do just fine.” Grins a bit, “-Everything- will still -work- just the same.”
Finally finishes smoking, “I’ll wait for your kiss in our Tokyo.”

  4. Then we’ll wait and celebrate it there? As I’ve always said… you’re worth waiting for.
And yes, time moves slowly, but at least it -moves-. *grins* And we’re moving in it together.
