I was a stranger in the city
Out of town were the people I knew
I had that feeling of self-pity
What to do? What to do? What to do?
The outlook was decidedly blue
But as I walked through the foggy streets alone
It turned out to be the luckiest day I’ve known
Out of town were the people I knew
I had that feeling of self-pity
What to do? What to do? What to do?
The outlook was decidedly blue
But as I walked through the foggy streets alone
It turned out to be the luckiest day I’ve known
A foggy day in London Town
Had me low and had me down
I viewed the morning with alarm
The British Museum had lost its charm
How long, I wondered, could this thing last?
But the age of miracles hadn’t passed,
For, suddenly, I saw you there
And through foggy London Town
The sun was shining everywhere.

Should I have saved this song? *smiles* I’ve found that these songs that I keep saving “for the perfect moment”… but I can say that this song may speak of London, but for me it’s been true in other places as well.
I hope we can see each other soon. But I will be patient, as you are worth waiting for.
*takes the note*
The ahou told me you came the other night… Shall we keep missing each other? Ah… Back to the subject! Old songs express themselves quite well… Like this one, although perhaps not as well as yours.
I’m up in the world,
but I’d give the world to be where I used to be,
A heavenly nest,
where I rest the best,
means more than the world to me.
It’s only a shanty
in old Shanty Town
the roof is so slanty it touches the ground.
But my tumbled down shack by an old railroad track,
like a millionaire’s mansion is calling me back.
I’d give up a palace if I were a king.
It’s more than a palace, it’s my everything.
There’s a queen waiting there with a silvery crown
in a shanty in old Shanty Town.
Shall we keep missing each other?
*shakes head*
I let Kizu work tonight since she was in the mood for it – at least one of them is being -useful-. Mine spent the night tapping around on her “pocket pc”.
So tomorrow? *smiles* And so you don’t just eat those sweets… *sets out a bento of zaru soba and grilled mackerel*
*yawns* Until then. *kisses the lid of the bento*
*curls up on the futon*
