HAKUOUKI GETS SECOND SEASON!!!

Yes I've been one of those who were complaining that Hakuouki's story can't possibly end well with so few episodes! It deserved at least 24 episodes... And today what do we get? We get the next best thing! A SECOND SEASON has been announced for Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan! I almost fell out of my chair when Safetygirl called me! Yes I'm ashamed to admit it Safety's been more on top of things new wise lately than I am.
PEACE MAKER FANS HERE'S ABURANOKOJI!

Fans of Peace Maker Kurogane have I got some news for you! Finally Kurono Nanae is continuing Peace Maker! As most PMK fans know the second series of the manga was left unfinished and today I got wind that on July 24, Peace Maker Kurogane no Aburanokoji will go on sale for 920 Yen. Apparently it's a special print with a recap of the previous stories, has interviews and will be B5 size printing. Kurono Nanae is the illustrator the only thing I haven't confirmed yet is if this is a novel with illustrations or an actual manga. Either way it is good news after such a long hiatus for this series. When I get more details I will post it here. It's about time! To your right is sample art from this new release.

Just a reminder to PMK lovers out there, the live-action is currently ongoing in Japan. For us State side we'll have to rely on torrents released by other fans. Visit this link to d-addicts.com (http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/torrents.php?search=Shinsengumi+PEACE+MAKER type= sub=View+all sort=) to go see the live action Shinsengumi PEACE MAKER. There's no subtitles right now but those who've seen PMK likely won't have any problems understanding what's happening. Hopefully someone subs it soon. ^__^ Oh and here is the official website (http://新撰組peacemaker.jp) . Have fun and let us know what you think!

Gintama anime is now licensed in the US!

Sentai Filmworks (which sorta used to be ADV) announced today that they have licensed Gintama for release in the US! The first DVD set will ship April 27th. From what I can tell on the listing at Right Stuf, it will NOT be dubbed. It has been airing on Crunchyroll for a while and I recall talk sometime back about Viz having the anime (they put out the manga). The running time makes me think that they'll be releasing it in half seasons of about 13 or 14 episodes apiece. Update 2/4/10: Rightstuf.com has a sales promotion from Section 23 which include Sentai Filmworks. You can pre-order Gin Tama (http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/Ad70tz6-ogb8IgkIxi/browse/item/86525/4/0/0) with a discount by using the coupon code arrest during check out.
